Questions

Favorite High School Memory: No question: Patrick Hawkins' walk-off, full count, grand slam in a lightning storm!

  • Four way tie for 2nd place:
  • • Not knowing anyone at Lafayette and convincing Jim Hennessy to invite the whole school over for a party that destroyed my house but got me a bunch of friends.
  • • Falling through thin ice with Kyle Baum and Jim Hennessy and having to hide from the paramedics because we thought they were gonna call our parents.
  • • While working as a landscaper at Babler State Park, I attempted to mow a baseball diamond into an overgrown field. I found out the next day that it was a federal bird sanctuary and I displaced about 200 endangered mallards that may or may not have become extinct.
  • • Getting fired from the YMCA by the nationwide president of the YMCA, who just happened to walk by as I was talking on my cell phone about how I was planning on stealing basketballs from the gym.
  • • Having my Vice Principal testify against me in court.

Favorite High School Class: Mr. Crane's computer programming class.

Favorite High School Activity: Partying at JK's house until the cops showed up, getting fired from crappy jobs, doing sick neutral-drops/burnouts in my car and playing Madden/NHL 99.

In 2002, I spent my weekends: Partying at JK's house, eating disgusting amounts of Jack in the Box, getting chased out of gas stations for trying to buy beer with the world's worst fake ID, blasting Afroman in Ryan Eves' car, sneaking into my house hungover at 7 a.m. and getting caught EVERY time and unsuccessfully garage shopping.

In 2011, I spend my weekends: Hanging out at airports, eating sandwiches, watching movies, driving uninsured rental cars very carefully or on redeye flights home.

Any other thoughts to add about LHS or the Class of 2002:

When I moved to Missouri at the end of my junior year, I assumed it would be pretty tough to make friends and was pretty skeptical of my chances. Fortunately, the class of 2002 had some pretty solid guys (and girls) that really accepted me into their crew and took me under their wing. I partied with those dudes through college and still keep in touch with them today. If I had been home schooled, I probably would have had to go to the prom with my brother or something.

What You're Up To Now

After being expelled from Mizzou, UGA, and a half-dozen community colleges along the way, I ended up being cast in an independent comedy called Box Elder. For the next three years, I toured Box Elder (along with other indie comedies) to college campuses around the country, as well as working for the Sundance Film Festival and The Cinevegas Film Festival in Las Vegas. In 2010, after 3 years on the road, Range Life Entertainment was a fully functional distribution and production company. We moved to an office in Manhattan and have been there ever since. I'm currently a Creative Development Executive and am in charge of developing and writing new projects for Range Life to produce and distribute. Most recently, I co-wrote and acted in a comedy TV pilot with Todd Sklar that we shot in LA in February. We are shooting a new full-length comedy in the spring that I co-wrote and will also star in. I am currently looking for a new girlfriend that has a wienerdog.
