Questions

Favorite High School Memory: While there are many to choose from, I'd have to say my favorite was day one of freshman year, getting the opportunity to meet a bunch of awesome people who would have a huge impact on my life over the next 4+ years.

Favorite High School Class: Probably Mr. Brandon's AP Euro class. Oddly enough it was the most difficult class I took in high school (and probably more difficult than most classes I took at Mizzou), and I gained absolutely no knowledge from that class that has had any impact on my life to-date, but it was a great class because Mr. Brandon was the man, and made it fun. It was also pretty humbling sitting next to Karen Holthouse, who would get in the upper 90s on all of her tests, then to get mine back with a solid D half the time!

Favorite High School Activity: That would definitely be student council, especially senior year. Lots of fun stuff with great people!

In high school, I'd spend my weekends: either working at Waterway, doing something for Student Council, or driving around West County, hanging out in everyone's parents' basements

In 2010, I spend my weekends: I travel about 90% of the time for work, so by the time the weekends come around I have a pretty long "honey-do" list. That usually has something to do with working on the house, wearing out our German Shepherd puppy Bella, and whatever else Whitney tells me to do! I also try to hit the golf links when I can, go to the lake as much as possible, and continue my quest to try as many types of beer as possible.

Other thoughts to add about LHS or the Class of 2002?
Thinking about how many people have spread across the country to do so many awesome things (professional & personal), it's evident that the staff at LHS did a great job of encouraging students to pursue what they really want to do, and taught us how to succeed in doing just that. To the class of '02, it's been great to keep in touch with so many of you, and I'm looking forward to seeing as many people as possible at the 10-year reunion! And congrats to all those with youngsters around!

What I'm Up to Now:

I'm currently living with my wonderful wife Whitney and dog Bella in Kansas City. I've spent the last 4 years doing financial services risk management consulting at Ernst & Young, and have become what many would consider a "road warrior." Eight years ago I never would have imagined myself being a married homeowner at the age of 27, but things are great and I couldn't be happier!
