Kori (Larocca) Hughes

Reminisce about the joys of having (or trying to have) off-campus lunch with soon to be mother of two Kori (Larocca) Hughes.

Questions

Favorite High School Memory: Wow, there are too many to pick. My most laughable memories would be probably leaving at lunch in hopes of not getting caught by the parking lot attendant, going to Jack in the Box to eat and then coming back and sneaking back into school. Little did the administration know that we could usually just give the parking lot attendant an order of fries, and we were all clear to go.

Favorite High School Class: Without a doubt Mrs. Toone's photography class, followed by coach Sissom's COE class.

In 2002, I spent my weekends: With my friends, driving around waiting for someone to have a party, or at Mollys because it was always a party over there :) I was probably doing a lot of things that I should not have been ;)

In 2011, I spend my weekends: Hanging out with my husband Bill and son Jack.

What I am up to now

I went off to Southwest (now Missouri State) after LHS and did three years there, moved home for a job offer and completed my bachelors at UMSL. I am a double major in Finance and Business Administration. I worked as a Financial Analyst at Citimortgage, then did a year in public accounting, and now have a job that I love at St. Louis Charter school. I do all their Accounting/Finance and Human Resource duties. I love working in a school environment. I met my husband when I worked at Citimortgage. He also happens to be a Lafayette graduate- class of 1998. We married in 2007 and had our son Jack in 2009. We are expecting our second son in July of 2011. We currently live in Kirkwood with our son and 2 dogs. Life could not be better and I owe a lot of my good beginnings to the great education that I received at LHS :) Most of my best friends are the ones that I met at Lafayette.
