From volleyball and drama to graphic design and photography, catch up with the latest chapter in newlywed Megan (Mudd) Stoll's life.

Questions

Favorite High School Memory: Well, it was definitely not the time that I fell down the stairs in the commons during lunch... so I'd have to say that it was a tie between my days practicing with the volleyball or soccer team after school or all of the time I spent with those awesome Thespians doing drama. I really wish I would have thought of joining drama before my Junior year.

Favorite High School Class: Photography with Mrs. Toone. I'm really tickled every time that I see someone put this as their favorite class, because it just shows how awesome of a teacher she was. I got to spend a lot of time in that class because I was a student one year, then a teacher's assistant the next. Her passion about photography definitely bled over to me and I'm currently considering pursuing freelance photography as a side project.

Favorite High School Activity: Volleyball, Soccer and Figure Skating

In 2002, I spent my weekends: with friends and family. We were always trying to find something to do and I love that we always just wound up hanging out in someone's basement. I just remembered that I used to spend a crazy amount of time on AIM. A/S/L?

In 2011, I spend my weekends: with Kevin and our friends. We really like going out to see movies at the theater and lately we've been trying out the new "Michael Jackson Experience" game on our Wii. We really enjoy having our friends over for dinner and trying out new recipes. Sometimes we'll take trips back to St. Louis to visit family and friends there - it's nice that it's a much faster drive for us now than it was when we were living in Chicago.

Anything else to add about LHS or the class of 2002?
I may have missed the five year reunion, but I'm really excited to see everyone at the ten year reunion. I think that we were very fortunate to have such a diverse group of people at LHS. I love that I was able to have friends in a few different circles and that sometimes I randomly see high school friends wherever I happen to go. It's really comforting to me. We're everywhere!!

What You're Up To Now

After LHS, I went to Truman and graduated with a BFA in Visual Communications. After a few odd jobs in St. Louis, I was offered a job as an Ad Producer with Chicago Tribune Interactive. I stayed in Chicago for about three years and that is where I met my husband, Kevin Stoll. It turns out that it was a good thing that he remained close with some of his friends from high school in Jefferson City. He went to high school with a college friend of mine who decided to play matchmaker and introduce us in Chicago. We first met at a Cardinals/Cubs game at Wrigley Field. After that, we were pretty much inseparable.

A couple of years later, Kevin proposed to me in Millennium Park and we just got married March 26 at Little Flower Church in St. Louis. I don't know if many of you were outside that day, but it snowed. A LOT. Luckily, it made for some really awesome pictures and it will give us a cool story to tell our grandkids. Several LHS grads were at our wedding: Derek Brewington ('02), Chris Hoffmeister ('01), Ian & Morgan Hudson ('02), and of course, my lovely sister and maid of honor, Molly Mudd ('04). We currently reside in Columbia, MO. I have been with the University of Missouri Extension as a Graphic Designer since last April and Kevin recently started a job with State Farm Insurance as a Claims Representative. We're happy to be back in Missouri and closer to our family and friends. Now that the wedding is over, (thank goodness there is no more wedding planning to do) we're looking forward to our next chapter as husband and wife.
